Stone Edge Order Management Fulfillment

The Stone Edge Order Manager (www.stoneedge.com) is tightly integrated with Shipwire. Stone Edge sends orders to Shipwire, and Shipwire returns tracking numbers, shipping costs and inventory status to Stone Edge. No setup required. Read our joint press release.

Some carts have yet to integrate to Shipwire. If you are looking for a cart that is not yet “plug & play” and it is on the Shipwire compatible carts list, it may require StoneEdge as a “middleware” between the Cart and Shipwire. StoneEdge is constantly updating their cart compatibility.

Having Stone Edge automatically send orders to Shipwire is easy. Both systems are already integrated. You can have Shipwire handle fulfillment for all your orders by completing the following instructions:

In the Stone Edge Order Manager:

  • Go to the Maintenance Menu -> Shipping & Fulfillment tab -> Fulfillment Centers
  • Create a new Fulfillment Center. The Code for the new center MUST be “ShipWire” (without the quotes). Enter anything you like for the Name of the fulfillment center. Do not fill in or select any other options (Export to Text File, Send Email, etc.)
  • To configure an individual item for fulfillment by Shipwire, edit the item and select the new fulfillment center from the drop-down list.
  • To configure all of the products in an Inventory Category for fulfillment by Shipwire, go to the Maintenance Menu -> Maintenance tab -> List Maintenance. Select the list called Inventory Categories. Enter the name of the category, and select the new fulfillment center from the drop-down list. Click the Save button.
  • To configure the Order Manager to send all orders via Shipwire, set the system parameter Default Fulfillment Center (in the Shipping parameter group) to the new fulfillment center. You can opt individual items out of that by either selecting a different fulfillment center for those items, or selecting the Don’t Do Fulfillment option for them.

Whenever an order is Approved, either manually or automatically, if any of the items on that order have been assigned for fulfillment by Shipwire, the Order Manager will transmit the order directly to Shipwire.

This feature is available in the Order Manager version 4.308 and higher.
